Commercial Lines Account Manager | Boutique Hybrid Firm

Are you an insurance professional who loves the craft but is tired of the "volume over value" corporate grind?

My client is not your typical brokerage. They are a close group of like-minded professionals. You will be working out of a brand-new boutique office in Burlington that prioritizes precision, creativity, and genuine mentorship over hitting arbitrary call quotas.   • Quality Over Quantity: We manage a sophisticated $2.5M book focused on SME accounts. We value the depth of the relationship over the number of files on your desk.


The Perks

  • Compensation: $55,000 – $70,000 base (commensurate with experience).

  • Incentivized Growth: While this is an Account Management role, we reward the entrepreneurial spirit. If you write organic new business, they offer a highly competitive commission split (typically 40%–50% TBD).

  • 3 weeks' vacation
  • Hybrid Flexibility: Once you’re up to speed, enjoy 1–2 days of remote work per week (experience dependent).

  • Support System: You will have a dedicated TSR and access to our proprietary software systems to keep your workflow seamless.


What You’ll Handle

You will manage a diverse and interesting portfolio, with a heavy focus on:

  • Real Estate: Commercial and residential realty (including rentals) makes up 50% of the book.

  • Construction: Builder’s risk, wraps, and contractors.

  • Specialized Risks: Hospitality, Legal, E&O, and D&O.

  • Independent Business: Serving the backbone of our local economy.


Qualifications

  • License: Active RIBO license is required.

  • Experience: 1–4 years of experience in ON as a Commercial Lines Account Manager working with the risks noted.

  • The "Right" Fit: You aren't just looking for "any" job. You are passionate about insurance, energetic, and ready to help build a boutique brand from the ground up.

  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable learning proprietary software (No BMS experience? No problem—we will train you).
