Join a Tier1 automotive supplier with approximately 200 employees in the Upstate, SC as their Production Manager.

You would report directly to the Plant Manager with 4 direct reports (Shift leaders and Production Planning)

The ideal candidate would have at least 5 years experience leading a multi-shift production team with the ability to motivate while keeping the team accountable.

 

Tasks:

·         Plan, organize, and manage resources for a 3-shift x 7 day production facility.

·         Ensure all personnel are following safety guidelines and working in a safe manner. 

·         Oversee and manage all production processes including Injection, assembly and testing operations.

·         Provide direction, leadership, and development opportunities to the production team through communication, training, and setting the example.

·         Directly manage all production leaders and indirectly influence, Technical, Quality, Logistics and Launch associates in support of a smooth running operation. 

·         Monitor and manage daily execution of the production schedule to ensure customer requirements are met on time. Collaborate with all departments to meet this requirement.

·         Monitor and manage monthly KPIs to ensure goals are met. Implement corrective actions to meet set targets.

·         Implement and adhere to 5S Standards.

·         Identify and lead improvement activities for the manufacturing processes by building cross functional and inter-departmental teams to accomplish the tasks.

·         Manage and direct projects to completion in a timely manner.

·         Control and minimize overtime.

·         Work in conjunction with the quality department to ensure QRQC points are followed through to completion using proper root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.

·         Maintain effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills in motivating direct reports.

 

Requirements:

 

·         5+ years progressive experience in manufacturing, plastics molding and assembly operations.

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Bachelor’s Degree in Management preferred or equivalent experience
