Our client is a top-tier innovator in producing high-quality plastic components for the automotive industry.
They are seeking a skilled Process Technician to join their team at their plant Northeast of Atlanta, GA.
This role would be ideal for a current Maintenance Technician with relevant experience in process optimization with injection molding tools.
You will be part of an exciting project launch for a new model build planned for the end of this year.
Summary
As Process Technician you will oversee the setup, troubleshooting, and optimization of injection molding automation processes. This role ensures consistent quality, safety, and efficiency while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Tasks:
· Perform setup, startup, and troubleshooting of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
· Adjust machine parameters, conduct routine maintenance, and make minor repairs on molds and production equipment.
· Identify and implement process improvements in collaboration with leadership and maintenance teams.
· Ensure compliance with safety policies and maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
· Monitor adherence to customer specifications and document production data, including downtime, scrap, and process deviations.
· Act as a mentor and technical resource for team members and assist in training new staff.
· Identify and manage non-conforming products, including rework when necessary.
· Support 5S initiatives and proactively contribute to a safe and efficient work environment.
· Assist with team tasks and other duties as assigned by leadership.

Requirements:
· 5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing environment.
· 3+ years’ experience with set-ups and troubleshooting in a Plastic Injection Molding environment.
· Skilled in two-shot molding and over-molding processes.
· Proficient in conducting preventative maintenance on production molds, including cleaning, minor repairs, and proper lubrication of tools and machines.
· Experienced in programming and troubleshooting robotics and automated systems.
· Tier 1 automotive experience is a plus
· Strong team player with a self-driven approach to work.
