Join a new and growing team as their Product Development Engineer! This will be a hybrid role located in Greenville, SC, after initial training in Germany/Asia.

The ideal candidate will be an engineer with high-voltage connector systems experience in the automotive industry.

Summary: 

As the Product Development Engineer, you will immerse yourself in the global and innovative automotive industry, tackling projects focused on developing high-voltage connector systems.

Tasks: 

Development and design of innovative high-voltage connection systems, from the idea to series production (e.g. terminals, housings, charging inlets, charging couplings).
Researching and introducing innovative manufacturing technologies (e.g. EMPT, ultrasonic welding, automation, etc.).
Implementation of new development concepts based on your market knowledge, analyses, and future trends.
Coordination of design & development concepts with the product design team, product management and other interdisciplinary functions.
Leading root cause analysis using common problem-solving methods (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, etc.)

Requirements: 

Engineering degree or similar.
Experience in the product development of high-voltage (HV) connector systems in the automotive environment based on the IATF 16949 standard.
Strong knowledge in the application of Six Sigma/Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodology in the development of technology products and processes.
Experience in the manufacturing process of HV connectors (using DFM & FMEA) and corresponding industry standards (e.g. LV 214, USCAR 2, LV 215).
CAD software experience preferred.

English language proficiency.
