About the Team

The Sensors and System Software team develops the core software that integrates and processes sensor data for autonomous vehicles. The team works with cameras, LiDAR, radar, IMU, GNSS, and other sensors, solving challenging problems in real-time systems, embedded software, sensor integration, and data processing.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to integrate sensors into autonomous vehicle software pipelines. You will design, develop, optimize, debug, and maintain low-latency sensor software while becoming a technical expert in the sensor domain.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and optimize device drivers and software pipelines for Camera, LiDAR, Radar, IMU, GNSS, and other sensors.

  • Build algorithms for timestamping, filtering, preprocessing, and sensor synchronization.

  • Develop sensor-health monitoring and data-analysis pipelines.

  • Debug hardware and software issues and collaborate with embedded, perception, and localization teams.

  • Work with real-time, low-latency, safety-critical systems.

  • Serve as a technical expert on sensor characteristics, interfaces, and performance.

What You'll Need

  • 5+ years of production software development experience.

  • Strong C++ and Python skills.

  • Understanding of automotive Camera, LiDAR, Radar, IMU, and GNSS technologies.

  • Experience with ROS or similar frameworks.

  • Linux networking and debugging experience.

  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.

Nice to Have

  • 5+ years in autonomous vehicles, self-driving, or robotics.

  • Sensor driver or sensor-processing experience, particularly radar and camera.

  • Real-time embedded systems experience.

  • Linux kernel-space / embedded device experience.

  • Hardware bring-up, schematics, and debugging experience.

  • Experience with CAN, SPI, I2C, PCIe, and Ethernet.
