Autonomous Vehicle Technician
Job Overview
We are hiring Autonomous Vehicle Technicians to support the retrofit, integration, and production of autonomous vehicle platforms. This is a hands-on role that combines mechanical, electrical, and systems-level work in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.
This is a strong fit for candidates with automotive, EV, vehicle retrofit, or similar technical experience who are comfortable working with diagnostic tools, wiring diagrams, electrical systems, and complex vehicle hardware.
Key Responsibilities
• Install and integrate sensors, compute modules, wiring harnesses, and custom autonomous vehicle hardware
• Execute vehicle retrofits and system integrations with a focus on quality and throughput
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues during build processes
• Perform hardware updates, rework, and build corrections as needed
• Follow standard operating procedures to ensure consistent and repeatable builds
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and operations teams
• Maintain tools, inventory, and organized work areas
• Accurately document work performed and any issues identified during builds
Requirements
• Experience working with mechanical and electrical tools
• Experience using multimeters and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-based, high-throughput production environment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work on and around vehicles for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
• Automotive, EV, or vehicle retrofit experience
• Experience with electric or autonomous vehicle systems
• Familiarity with LiDAR, radar, cameras, or other vehicle sensors
• Experience with low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems
• Experience with wiring harnesses, connectors, and electronic modules
• Soldering or crimping experience
• Basic fabrication skills
