Dispatcher

Job Overview

We are hiring a Dispatcher to support autonomous trucking operations in Lancaster, TX. This role sits at the center of daily road operations, coordinating missions, monitoring fleet and autonomy health, responding to issues in real time, and working closely with engineering and operations teams.

The strongest fit is someone who combines solid dispatch or fleet operations experience with strong technical comfort. You do not need to be a software engineer, but you should be comfortable using Linux, computer terminals, scripting or Python-based tools, and troubleshooting hardware or software issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate test and commercial missions across crews, trucks, and trailers
• Monitor mission execution, autonomy health, and fleet status in real time
• Troubleshoot operational, hardware, and software issues before escalating when needed
• Work closely with engineering, triage, safety, and fleet teams
• Maintain accurate mission records, logs, delays, and shift handoffs
• Lead and support Fleet Specialists

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in dispatch, fleet operations, mission control, or technical operations
• Experience leading or supervising others
• Comfort with Linux, command-line tools, scripting, Python, or similar technical environments
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues
• Experience with dispatch, fleet management, routing, or telematics systems
• Strong judgment, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with DOT/FMCSA Hours of Service requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Autonomous vehicle, robotics, testing, or other technical operations experience
• Experience with Jira, Fleetio, Motive, or similar platforms
• Class A CDL or hands-on Class 8 trucking experience
