Job Overview

We are hiring part-time Robot Service Technician Assistants across multiple university locations to support the daily operations, maintenance, and preparation of autonomous delivery robots.

This is a strong opportunity for students, entry-level technicians, or anyone looking for weekend work while building hands-on experience in robotics, EVs, automotive repair, electronics, and electro-mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare robots and verify hardware and software readiness before deployment
• Charge robots and batteries to maintain fleet readiness
• Clean robots and protect sensitive external hardware
• Perform basic mechanical repairs and maintenance
• Assist with hardware and software service campaigns
• Support remote operations teams as the hands-on contact for robot issues
• Perform calibrations and wheel alignments
• Help ensure sensors and chassis components are properly configured
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workshop
• Support additional robot fleet activities as needed

 

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and logical problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working in hands-on and varied field environments
• Ability to safely lift and move items weighing more than 50 pounds
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to follow technical procedures and instructions
• Comfortable learning new tools, equipment, and technology
• Availability to work weekends

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Current students with relevant coursework or internship experience are encouraged to apply
• Technician, maintenance, mechanical, or assembly experience
• Automotive plant, dealership service, or similar hands-on experience
• General computer literacy
• Interest or introductory experience in robotics, electric vehicles, automotive repair, or electronics
• Strong computer and technical aptitude

 

Schedule

• Saturday and Sunday
• AM & PM shifts
