Job Overview

We are hiring an engineering-focused Vehicle Technician to support the maintenance, repair, diagnostics, and readiness of a fully autonomous robotaxi fleet.

This is a strong fit for an experienced automotive technician with deep knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair, along with strong electrical and ADAS experience. You’ll perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, fleet rework, quality inspections, and repair coordination in a fast-paced technical environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality vehicle repairs and inspections according to documented work instructions
• Conduct multi-point inspections and system checks to ensure fleet safety and reliability
• Inspect and test completed work as part of the quality control process
• Configure, set up, maintain, diagnose, and sign off on vehicles for safe on-road operation
• Perform diagnostics and escalate complex issues to engineering teams as needed
• Coordinate and drive the repair process from diagnosis through resolution
• Develop diagnostic test plans to support troubleshooting and validation
• Maintain detailed service records and quality field reports
• Assist with parts, tools, and inventory organization
• Keep shop facilities and technician workspaces clean and properly maintained
• Operate service center equipment safely and follow required PPE procedures
• Follow applicable safety, hazardous waste, and service center regulations
• Travel locally as needed to support vehicle maintenance and diagnostics

 

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair methods, tools, parts, and materials
• Strong automotive diagnostic and troubleshooting experience
• Experience with electrical and ADAS systems
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented work style
• Ability to pass a background check, MVR check, and drug screen
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
• Ability to operate forklift and/or gantry equipment; training and certification will be provided as needed

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in an automotive engineering or research lab
• Experience with CAN systems
• Ability to read wiring diagrams
• Soldering experience
• Technical trade school certificate or Associate Degree in automotive repair
• Autonomous vehicle industry experience
• Ability to travel locally and occasionally nationally

 

Schedule

• Tuesday-Saturday: 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
