Job Overview

We are hiring a Facilities Technician to support general facility maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance across multiple sites in the Dallas area.

This is a hands-on role for someone comfortable working across multiple trades, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, doors, locks, and general building systems. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to troubleshoot issues independently while collaborating with a broader facilities team.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs and troubleshooting across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry systems
• Complete preventative maintenance procedures to support equipment reliability and longevity
• Operate and maintain power tools, ladders, diagnostic devices, and other maintenance equipment
• Install and repair locks, doors, and related hardware
• Perform light electrical work, including replacing outlets, switches, ballasts, and lighting components
• Complete basic plumbing work, including unclogging drains, repairing leaks, and replacing fixtures
• Interpret basic building systems and blueprints to support maintenance activities
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and work order updates
• Follow established safety procedures and OSHA requirements
• Travel between multiple sites when needed

 

Requirements

• Hands-on facilities maintenance or general repair experience
• Experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, or similar building maintenance work
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable using power tools and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Basic computer skills for maintenance logs and work order systems
• Understanding of workplace safety procedures and OSHA regulations
• Valid driver’s license if travel between sites is required
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment or materials
• Comfortable working on ladders, in confined spaces, and performing physical work for extended periods

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Broad facilities maintenance experience across multiple trades
• Experience with building systems and basic blueprint interpretation
• Experience installing and repairing door and lock hardware
• Experience with preventative maintenance programs
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance or work order systems
• Ability to provide and use personal tools as needed
