Excellent opportunity with global manufacturing leader for experienced Environmental Engineer. Requires extensive background managing and maintaining the following programs:
Title V, RCRA Hazardous Waste, Waste Water and Continuous Emissions Monitoring System (CEMS). This includes EPA reporting and compliance at local, state, and national regulatory agencies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
--- Develop and maintain the strategy to meet Environmental regulatory requirements, reduce waste, and recover key materials.
--- Manage site compliance to all applicable environmental regulations and permits. Develop, implement and monitor environmental programs including Hazardous Waste (RCRA), Title V (Air Emissions), waste water, etc.
--- Designs and manages environmental compliance systems in order to maintain the site’s license to operate (LTO) and to avoid notice of violations/penalties and/or shutdown the plants.
--- Manage and provide technical input to environmental projects up to $1.5 million including implementation, start-up and qualifications. Oversee environmental budget/expenses for the SHE Department.
--- Owner of Continuous Emissions Monitoring System “CEMS” (regulatory system).
--- Prepare local, state and federal permit applications, obtain approvals from local and global management and is the site representative for regulatory authorities.ions.
--- Manage data integrity of regulatory equipment and systems. Troubleshoot and ensure equipment/systems remain in operation and compliance to avoid permit non-compliance and notice of violations/civil penalties.
--- Responsible for writing environmental documents and procedures to meet corporate and regulatory requirements.
--- Ensure all staff is trained and knowledgeable of environmental requirements per local, state and federal requirements.
--- Stay current with radiation training and maintain that level sufficient to fulfill responsibilities as RSO (Radiation Safety Officer).
--- Comply with relevant laws, regulatory requirements, recipes, SOP’s, and other related documents and activities.
--- Maintain annual training requirements on hazardous waste.
QUALIFICATIONS:
--- MS or BS in Environmental or Chemical Engineering with 6+ years experience as Environmental Engineer
---Implement and manage multimedia programs - Title V, RCRA, waste water, etc. for chemical/ manufacturing plants.
--- Demonstrated knowledge of environmental permitting process and compliance and reporting to regulatory authorities.
--- Experience in submitting EPA permit applications and negotiating permit requirements for local, state, and national.
--- Able to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future.
