Sr. Process Engineer*

Seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Process Engineer to play a pivotal role in optimizing refinery operations. This position involves providing technical expertise, strategic project development, and comprehensive advisory support to enhance safety, reliability, and profitability within the refinery environment.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee refinery operations, monitoring specific areas, identifying potential issues, and advising management and engineering teams.
• Collaborate with technical staff to plan, troubleshoot, and support various units, ensuring seamless operations.
• Conduct thorough technical reviews of designs, Management of Change (MOC) documents, and change orders.
• Utilize engineering principles and collaborate with operations personnel to effectively troubleshoot refinery problems, providing a comprehensive overview of the situation.
• Identify and propose minor and major changes to improve safety, reliability, and environmental compliance.
• Develop long-term project plans for process improvements and new product lines.
• Lead the scope, development, and design of refinery projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
• Secure necessary support and funding for major projects, overseeing commissioning and troubleshooting of significant changes.
• Coordinate ongoing functions such as Process Safety Management (PSM) programs.
• Act as a senior technical advisor to management, providing insights on personnel performance and potential development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of eight years of experience in refinery, petrochemical, or chemical industries, with a strong understanding of refinery processes.
• Demonstrated expertise in refinery planning or process equipment design.
• Track record of leadership in enhancing income generation and reducing costs.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across various teams.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience leading training sessions.
• Proficiency in refinery process software, including simulation and design tools.
