Production Manager*

An established specialty chemical manufacturer is seeking a Production Manager with a strong Chemical Engineering background and hands-on batch manufacturing experience. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer ready to take the next step in production leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily batch chemical manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, efficient production and consistent product quality.

• Supervise, coach, and develop production personnel.

• Troubleshoot process and equipment issues, working closely with Maintenance and Engineering to minimize downtime.

• Drive improvements in production efficiency, yields, costs, and overall plant performance.

• Support Process Safety Management (PSM), environmental compliance, and safe operating practices.

• Monitor production KPIs, manage operating budgets, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemical Engineering required.

• 5+ years of experience in specialty chemical manufacturing, including batch processing.

• Experience in production or process engineering with demonstrated leadership ability.

• Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing operations, process troubleshooting, and PSM.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement initiatives is a plus.
