Maintenance Supervisor - Manufacturing*

Chemical Manufacturer is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance personnel and support safe, reliable production. This role coordinates daily priorities and planned work, responds to equipment issues, and works closely with Operations, Engineering, and the maintenance planner. The position shares supervisory coverage with another Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and support maintenance employees and outside contractors.
• Coordinate weekly maintenance coverage, schedules, and priorities with the maintenance planner.
• Lead the response to equipment breakdowns and process upsets, adjusting work priorities to reduce downtime.
• Provide technical guidance for troubleshooting and equipment repairs.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance, asset records, and project planning.
• Coordinate with the storeroom and suppliers to ensure parts, tools, and services are available.
• Lead daily safety meetings and follow up on incidents, procedures, and corrective actions.
• Ensure maintenance work meets plant safety, food safety, and quality requirements; assist with audits.
• Communicate repair status and staffing needs to plant teams and manage timekeeping and overtime.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering preferred; relevant industrial trades experience will also be considered.
• Candidates without a degree should have 3–5 years of industrial maintenance supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of PM, PdM, CMMS, RCM, and TPM practices.
• Experience coordinating maintenance employees and contractors in a manufacturing plant.
• Strong troubleshooting, planning, communication, and safety leadership skills.
