The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading and developing a high-performing maintenance team, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and implementing a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) framework. The role focuses on enhancing machine availability, reducing downtime, and developing the skills of team members to improve overall operational efficiency. The manager works closely with cross-functional teams to align maintenance strategies with business objectives and ensures the maintenance organization operates with a culture of accountability and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive TPM structure, focusing on continuous improvement, planned maintenance, and skill development.
  • Lead the maintenance team to meet key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, technical availability, MTBF, and MTTR.
  • Create and execute strategies to improve maintenance processes with minimal supervision.
  • Establish and manage a high-performing planned maintenance program, ensuring high on-time completion and adherence to PM standards.
  • Support business planning cycles and contribute to setting maintenance-related targets.
  • Drive improvements in manufacturing processes through BPS (Lean Production) guidelines and enhance operational maturity.
  • Ensure successful new product launches by supporting maintenance, spare parts setup, and technical documentation.
  • Develop and track technical skills of maintenance staff, implementing targeted development plans.
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration with technicians, operators, value stream managers, and plant leadership.
  • Oversee a spare parts inventory system to maintain accuracy and minimize downtime due to stock-outs.
  • Actively contribute to the implementation of cost-reduction strategies in maintenance and spare parts management.
  • Support the adoption of Industry 4.0 initiatives to enhance data transparency and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a maintenance-related role, with direct involvement in maintenance teams.
  • Strong understanding of TPM and experience with process development or manufacturing environments.
  • Proven ability to lead diverse, international teams and work collaboratively with cross-functional groups.
  • Expertise in continuous improvement processes, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on servant leadership, appreciation, and team development.
