Responsibilities
---Lead the mechanical engineering efforts for capital projects, from initial scope development through to construction and commissioning.
---Develop detailed project scopes, equipment specifications, and design requirements.
---Specify and oversee the selection of static and rotating equipment, including vessels, tanks, pumps, and piping systems.
---Review and approve engineering deliverables from EPC firms, contractors, and vendors.
---Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including process, piping, electrical, controls, and construction.
---Identify potential project risks and propose effective solutions.
---Ensure all designs adhere to safety, reliability, constructability, and maintainability standards.
---Contribute to the development of engineering standards and support Management of Change (MOC) and Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) activities.
Experience
---Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
---7-10 years of experience in mechanical design and project engineering within chemical, petrochemical, or advanced manufacturing environments.
---Proven experience leading EPC firms, engineering contractors, and equipment vendors.
---Extensive knowledge of industry standards such as API, ASME, and ANSI.
