Maintenance Supervisor-E&I*

Maintenance Supervisor needed to lead the Electrical and Instrumentation maintenance team supporting a 24/7 manufacturing operation. This position is responsible for safe and reliable equipment performance, maintenance planning, technician development, contractor coordination, and continuous improvement. The supervisor partners with Operations and Engineering to improve equipment uptime, resolve recurring failures, and meet production, quality, food-safety, and cost objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with plant safety requirements.
• Lead employee safety training and pre-job safety reviews.
• Ensure maintenance activities meet quality and food-safety standards.
• Support and oversee the Management of Change process.
• Supervise, schedule, coach, and develop Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians.
• Establish daily work priorities and document completed maintenance activities.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation, and equipment issues.
• Serve as the Electrical Maintenance Planner.
• Plan and coordinate maintenance shutdowns and equipment outages.
• Coordinate maintenance work with Operations and outside contractors.
• Lead reliability and continuous-improvement projects.
• Investigate recurring equipment failures and implement long-term solutions.
• Support capital and maintenance projects while managing costs and contractor performance.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance to achieve plant objectives.

EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering preferred.
• Skilled-trades candidates with an electrical, instrumentation, millwright, or related background will be considered.
• Candidates without an engineering degree should have at least five years of maintenance supervisory experience.
• Experience leading and developing hourly maintenance employees in an industrial environment.
• Strong electrical and instrumentation troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of PM, PdM, CMMS, RCM, and TPM maintenance practices.
• Experience planning maintenance work, shutdowns, outages, and contractor activities.
• Understanding of industrial safety, quality, and food-safety requirements.
• Ability to manage maintenance budgets, costs, schedules, and competing priorities.
• Strong leadership, communication, technical writing, organization, and teamwork skills.
