Electro-Mechanical Technician is responsible for the wiring, start-up, testing, and final verification of laser cutting machines to ensure full electrical and mechanical functionality in accordance with client's quality standards. This role is ideal for a self-motivated, detail-oriented technician who takes pride in precision work, thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment, and is eager to learn and grow with advanced laser technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complete electrical and mechanical inspections to verify laser cutting machines meet all quality and

    performance standards.
  • Wire, start up, and test electro-mechanical systems to ensure proper operation and cutting accuracy.

  • Diagnose, analyze, and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and software-related 

    issues.
  • Start up disk and fiber laser systems and validate cutting quality to company specifications.

  • Prepare approved and tested machines for shipment, ensuring proper documentation and packaging

    requirements are met.
  • Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

  • Work confidently with high- and low-voltage electrical systems, as well as pneumatic and hydraulic circuits.

  • Verify test results meet required tolerances and document findings through quality reports.

  • Stay current with engineering change notices (ECNs) and technical product updates.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards.

  • Participate in meetings and implement approved actions and process improvements.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including SYNCHRO5S, and Continuous Improvement Process 

    (CIP).
  • Follow and enforce all company policies, safety guidelines, and quality procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in electro-mechanical assembly, machine start-up, and testing.

  • Strong working knowledge of industrial machine tools and laser systems.

  • Experience with electrical systems (high and low voltage), electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial software.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, parts lists, and machine documentation.

  • Familiarity with machine operations, applications, and quality control processes.

  • Proven troubleshooting skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Self-driven mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
