Transportation Design PE

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Design Professional Engineer to help expand a growing transportation practice serving TxDOT, NTTA, municipal, and county clients throughout Texas.

This is not a CE&I or inspection position.

The ideal candidate is a seller-doer: a technically strong transportation engineer who can lead or contribute to transportation design projects while also helping develop client relationships, support pursuits, and expand the firm's presence in the Texas transportation market.

The strongest candidate will have experience with both transportation schematics and PS&E design, although candidates particularly strong in schematics and feasibility studies are highly attractive.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead and support transportation design projects for TxDOT, NTTA, counties, municipalities, and other transportation agencies.
• Develop and review transportation schematics, feasibility studies, preliminary engineering, and PS&E design packages.
• Serve as a technical leader and project manager on roadway and transportation assignments.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary transportation design teams.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, quality, and client expectations.
• Participate in project pursuits, proposals, technical presentations, and teaming discussions.
• Develop and maintain relationships with transportation agencies, prime consultants, teaming partners, and industry contacts.
• Identify upcoming transportation opportunities and help position the firm for prime and subconsultant assignments.
• Represent the firm's technical capabilities during business-development efforts.
• Mentor and help develop transportation engineering staff as the practice grows.
