We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead civil engineering and land development projects in Tucson, AZ. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in residential and commercial land development, strong technical expertise, and a proven track record of managing engineering teams, projects, budgets, and client relationships.

This role is suited for a seasoned civil engineering professional who can provide strategic direction, make independent decisions, and successfully lead projects from planning and design through construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage civil engineering projects involving residential and commercial land development.
  • Provide direction, oversight, and strategic planning for engineering design teams.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, contracts, scopes of work, and fee proposals.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, public agencies, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Direct project planning, resource allocation, and overall team performance.
  • Set realistic project goals and independently develop plans to achieve them.
  • Conduct site assessments and engineering design studies.
  • Prepare and process improvement plans associated with private land development projects.
  • Perform constructability reviews and site construction conformance evaluations.
  • Provide construction support services throughout project execution.
  • Coordinate with public agencies and navigate jurisdictional review and approval processes.
  • Contribute to business development, marketing, and long-term client relationship building.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or equivalent.
  • Arizona Professional Engineer (PE) registration, or the ability to obtain Arizona registration through reciprocity.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant civil engineering experience, preferably focused on residential and commercial land development.
  • Minimum 10 years of management experience supervising engineers, designers, and project support staff.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering design, land development, and construction processes.
  • Proven experience managing project teams, schedules, budgets, contracts, and client relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of jurisdictional permitting and processing requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong independent judgment, decision-making, leadership, and time-management abilities.
