We are seeking an experienced Civil Design Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team in the Inland Empire region of California.
This position offers the opportunity to work on meaningful and high-impact land development projects, collaborating with experienced professionals across multiple disciplines. The ideal candidate will have strong civil design experience and the ability to take grading and land development plans from conceptual design through final plan preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and prepare grading plans from conceptual design through final plans.
- Prepare and process maps and plans for subdivision and land development projects.
- Perform roadway design, drainage design, and earthwork calculations.
- Apply engineering principles and best practices to civil and land development projects.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable jurisdictional codes, standards, and procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
- Support projects throughout the design, review, and approval process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in land development, or approximately 8 years of equivalent relevant work experience.
- Proven ability to develop grading plans from conceptual design through final plans.
- Experience preparing and processing subdivision and land development plans.
- Strong understanding of:
- Roadway design
- Drainage design
- Earthwork calculations
- Site development
- Knowledge of jurisdictional codes, standards, and procedures, preferably within the Inland Empire region.
- AutoCAD / Civil 3D experience is required.

- Experience working on residential and commercial land development projects.
- Familiarity with local permitting and jurisdictional approval processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
