A growing engineering consulting firm is seeking an experienced Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector (QEWI) to support facade inspection and building envelope projects throughout New York City and the surrounding area. This individual will play a key role in ensuring compliance with NYC facade safety regulations and delivering high-quality inspection services.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform exterior wall and facade inspections in accordance with NYC FISP requirements.
• Conduct hands-on building envelope assessments using suspended scaffolding and other elevated access methods.
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and engineering evaluations.
• Complete and submit TR6 filings with the New York City Department of Buildings.
• Identify facade deficiencies and develop repair recommendations.
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and project teams.
• Mentor junior inspectors and provide technical guidance.

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State Professional Engineer (PE) License.
• Current QEWI (Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector) Certification.
• Experience performing building envelope and facade inspections in New York City.
• Experience with TR6 filings and NYC DOB requirements.
• Strong knowledge of FISP regulations.
• Comfortable working at heights on high-rise buildings.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• History of successfully filing multiple facade inspection reports.
• Experience with commercial, residential, and institutional buildings.
• Project management and client-facing experience.
