Project Office Engineer (1)

to provide construction contract administration support to the PE. POE shall Keep the PE informed of activities and concerns on the project on a daily basis, Reviews and performs detailed analysis of complex or moderately complex Critical Path Method (CPM) project schedule submittals, Reviews contractor monthly invoices, material submittals, shop drawings, As- Built drawings, contractor requests, and provide comments and/or recommendations to the PE. Review traffic control, environmental controls, construction methods, and all issues concerning the construction of the project. Determines the acceptability of the day-to-day work performed by the contractor. Document daily activities and ensure that project files are kept up to date. Reviews and recommends acceptance or rejection of daily reports submitted by the contractor. Informs the PE of possible changes and recommends solutions. Develops independent engineer’s estimates. Reviews and provides comments on contractor price proposals. Drafts contract modification documents, including pre-negotiation memorandums. Creates draft onsite correspondence for the PE signature to the contractor providing clarification of contract requirements. Prepares drafts of correspondence for the PE and/or COE of official correspondence

Construction Inspector Level II (2)

performs inspections of traffic control, environmental controls, layout, construction methods and materials, and all issues concerning the construction of the project. Determines the acceptability of the day-to-day work performed by the contractor. The CI-II will review and recommend accepting or rejecting daily reports submitted by the contractor, performs inspection of the contractor’s quality control procedures and material testing and verifies that procedures are in conformance with the approved Quality Control Plan and established procedures. The CI-II must be able to reviews material testing procedures and results for conformance to the contract and measures quantities of materials placed. The CI-II may be required to perform sampling and/or in-place testing of soil, aggregate base, concrete, and asphalt concrete pavement.

Construction Inspector Level III (1)

perform inspections of traffic control, environmental controls, layout, construction methods, materials, and all aspects of project construction, including complex or critical operations. The CI-III is responsible for determining the acceptability of day-to-day work performed by the contractor, reviewing and recommending acceptance or rejection of daily reports, verifying compliance with the contractor's Quality Control Plan, independently evaluating material testing procedures and results for conformance with contract requirements, measuring quantities of materials placed, and performing sampling and/or in-place testing of soil, aggregate base, concrete, and asphalt concrete pavement as required. The CI-III may also provide technical guidance to lower-level inspection staff and assist the Project Engineer and/or POE in resolving field issues and monitoring overall project compliance

Additional Requirements: The ideal Construction Inspectors Level II, Level III and Project Office Engineer (POE) should have extensive experience overseeing heavy highway construction projects. Candidates must have hands-on expertise in various tasks, including grading, roadway resurfacing, drain dip construction, replacement of drainage culverts, slope stabilization, AOP structure, concrete box culvert, ditch reconditioning, drainage culvert cleaning. The inspectors should also be knowledgeable in signing, pavement markings, and other related roadway work. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat (PDF) is required.
