Senior Civil Engineer / Land Surveyor

We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer or Land Surveyor with strong experience supporting a range of civil engineering services, including field topographic surveying and mapping, as well as the preparation of Plans, Specifications & Estimates (PS&E) for street improvement projects. Projects may include pavement rehabilitation, bicycle and pedestrian pathways, storm drainage, and other utility improvements. Experience with local agency development review is also preferred. This position combines technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, including team development and client interaction.

Qualifications

• California PE or EIT certification for Civil Engineers, or PLS or LSIT certification for Land Surveyors. A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred. A minimum two-year certificate in Civil Engineering Technology or a similar discipline is required.
• 5+ years of civil engineering experience involving municipal engineering, public improvement design, hydrologic/hydraulic design, and project management.
• At least 3 years of experience with field surveying and mapping.
• Experience preparing technical specifications and project bid documents, along with design or plan review for improvement projects involving grading, drainage, streets, storm drains, water systems, and wastewater systems.
• Experience with local agency development reviews or project submittals.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and communicate with internal teams, clients, and government agencies.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
• Valid California driver’s license.
