A well-established, multi-disciplinary engineering consulting firm (300+ employees) is seeking a Project Manager with a structural buildings background to support and lead a range of infrastructure and building projects across Connecticut.
This firm supports federal, state, municipal, and private clients across engineering, construction management, inspection, environmental, and technology services.
This is a high-impact role offering a blend of technical leadership, project delivery, and client-facing responsibility.
What You’ll Be Doing

Lead multidisciplinary teams on structural and infrastructure projects

Oversee design, technical review, and engineering deliverables

Review AutoCAD drawings, plans, and specifications

Prepare and manage construction documents and permitting packages
-
Support and oversee construction phase services and contract administration
-
Manage project budgets, schedules, and overall financial performance
-
Develop and maintain client relationships
-
Prepare cost estimates and project forecasts
-
Coordinate subconsultants and external partners
-
Mentor and develop junior engineers and staff
-
Support proposals, presentations, and business development efforts
-
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
What They’re Looking For

Strong background in structural engineering (buildings)

Proven project management experience (technical + financial)

Experience with construction documentation and contract administration

Proficiency in AutoCAD (additional software a plus)

Strong communication, leadership, and client-facing skills

Experience with cost estimating and proposal development
Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil Engineering
-
PE License required
-
6+ years of engineering experience
-
3+ years in a Project Management role
