Steel Inspector

Locations: RI, CT and NY

Immediate need for a Steel Inspector. Ideally someone with additional certifications such as bolting and coatings inspection, but those are not mandatory.

Key details:

• Current inspector is covering our Rhode Island project while based in Western New York

• We still have fabrication plant work that will run through most of May

• I’m trying to find someone short-term to cover the fabrication work, but ideally someone we can keep long-term in Rhode Island and Connecticut

• They would just need to spend a short period in Western New York, then transition to work in RI/CT

Nice-to-have certifications / experience:

• AWS CWI (Certified Welding Inspector)

• AISC / Steel Fabrication Inspection experience

• Bolting Inspection Certification

• Coatings Inspection (AMPP/NACE or similar)

• Structural Steel / Bridge Fabrication Inspection

• NICET or other construction inspection certifications

• DOT / transportation project experience (RIDOT, NYSDOT, CTDOT)

• Shop inspection experience at steel fabrication plants

• Familiarity with AASHTO, ASTM, and AWS codes
