Role Summary
The Estimating Manager I is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals while identifying cost-effective construction solutions. This role applies established estimating processes and tools to deliver accurate project estimates and comprehensive bid packages. The position collaborates closely with operations, subcontractors, vendors, and clients throughout the preconstruction process.

Key Responsibilities
Core Estimating Responsibilities
- Perform quantity takeoffs from project drawings and plans.
- Read and interpret project specifications.
- Maintain an audit trail of quantity surveys throughout the estimating process.
- Support subcontractor/vendor bid solicitation and pricing.
- Distribute plans and specifications to vendors and subcontractors.
- Build strong working relationships with project teams, vendors, subcontractors, and clients.
- Gain self-perform estimating experience.
- Support field operations through onsite project exposure when opportunities exist.
Estimating Manager I Responsibilities
- Prepare complex cost estimates for competitive bids and negotiated proposals.
- Develop material cost summaries using vendor quotations.
- Track value engineering opportunities from development through project documentation.
- Develop and manage scopes of work for all construction trades.
- Coordinate:

- Incorporate project schedules and logistics into cost estimates.
