Director- IT
Location: Jacksonville, Florida (Hybrid)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a visionary IT leader capable of driving technological innovation and operational excellence across a dynamic organization. The Director of IT will spearhead the development and execution of IT strategies, ensuring robust infrastructure, seamless system operations, and strategic alignment with organizational goals. This role involves close collaboration with leadership to deliver secure and innovative solutions that promote growth and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive IT strategies that encompass infrastructure, support, and system operations.
- Oversee internal teams and external vendors in network operations, help desk, and desktop support to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Collaborate with business leaders to identify technology needs, prioritize investments, and align technology initiatives with business objectives.
- Formulate IT plans and budgets, making recommendations for operational enhancements and growth opportunities.
- Ensure system reliability, security, and performance, maintaining high standards of uptime and efficiency.
- Assess technology solutions for new properties, providing cost-effective recommendations.
- Monitor project progress, resource allocation, and performance metrics, reporting updates to executive management.
- Mentor and develop IT team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in service delivery.
- Maintain compliance with organizational standards regarding systems, privacy, and technology usage.
Required Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, cybersecurity, and business applications.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Azure, VMware or Hyper-V, server environments, and VoIP solutions.
- Experience with IT service management platforms, including performance tracking and reporting.
- Demonstrated success in leading teams, managing vendor relationships, and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills.
- Willingness to travel as necessary, including overnight stays.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline is required.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive IT experience with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
- A Master’s degree, MBA, or relevant certifications would be advantageous.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a multi-site operational environment is desirable.
- Microsoft or other relevant technical certifications are preferred.
