About the Opportunity
She Recruits is partnering with a respected healthcare organization to identify an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist (PRN) to support inpatient hospital operations. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who values flexibility, professionalism, and impactful patient care in an acute-care setting.
The inpatient pharmacist is responsible for the safe preparation, compounding, and dispensing of medications in accordance with federal and state regulations, as well as internal pharmacy standards. This is a PRN role, offering schedule flexibility and the ability to support patient care across multiple departments.
Role Summary
The pharmacist evaluates patient information—including medication profiles, vital signs, lab values, and treatment plans—to ensure the safe and effective use of medications. This role collaborates closely with physicians, nurses, and other multidisciplinary team members to deliver value-based, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare, compound, and dispense medications per regulatory and organizational standards

Assess patient-specific clinical data to support optimal medication therapy

Review medication profiles for drug interactions, duplications, contraindications, and therapeutic appropriateness

Partner with clinical teams—including nursing, medical providers, and ancillary services—to support patient needs

Provide patient and caregiver education when appropriate

Document all necessary information accurately and in compliance with policies and pharmacy regulations

Promote safe medication practices across the inpatient setting

Adhere to all pharmacy, legal, and safety protocols
Qualifications
Experience
-
Minimum: None required

Preferred: 1+ year experience in a hospital or acute-care pharmacy setting
Education

Required: Graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy; PharmD or RPh

Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)
Licensure

Required: Active Kansas Pharmacist License in good standing
