Location
New York (NYC). This is a fully remote role supporting a national bankruptcy practice.
Note
Must be licensed and in good standing with the New York State Bar and have meaningful creditors’ rights bankruptcy experience representing secured creditors in federal bankruptcy court.

Job Description
- Represent secured creditors in federal bankruptcy proceedings from referral through resolution
- Draft motions for relief from the automatic stay and defend secured creditor proofs of claim
- Respond to motions to value and prepare pleadings to protect creditor interests throughout the bankruptcy process
- Manage a substantial bankruptcy caseload while directing and guiding support staff
- Ensure firm systems accurately track filings, deadlines, milestones, and outcomes
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff across jurisdictions to maintain consistency and quality
- Contribute to practice growth through leadership, mentorship, and client-facing professionalism
Qualifications
- Active New York Bar license in good standing
- Strong experience representing creditors in federal bankruptcy court
- Ability to independently manage a significant caseload
- Demonstrated leadership and comfort supervising and mentoring staff
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities
- Experience in civil litigation, real estate, or financial services matters strongly preferred
- Familiarity with TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and appellate practice preferred but not required
