Job Summary
The Technical Training and Sales Engineer promotes the successful application of industrial electrical products with an emphasis on terminal block and connection technologies.
The primary mission of this role is to train and educate employees, distributors, and customers through high-quality technical training programs while also supporting sales growth. The role partners closely with customers, distributors, and sales representatives to expand market opportunities and strengthen product adoption.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience in automation, robotics, and/or industrial controls preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Solid technical background or technical aptitude
- Strong follow-up, coordination, tracking, planning, and analytical skills
- Strategic thinking and commitment to continuous learning
- Proven ability to manage projects and communicate recommendations to leadership
- Basic marketing or product management experience preferred
- Experience with sales planning, inventory control, or financial strategy is a plus
Position Responsibilities
- Provide training and technical support to the sales team and distribution partners to ensure effective promotion and support of product lines
- Travel to customer and distributor locations to conduct on-site or remote training programs
- Work closely with product management to stay current on new product development and integrate new products into training programs
- Provide feedback from customers and the field to product management teams
- Monitor industry trends, competitive products, and market developments through internal resources, trade shows, and industry events
- Maintain and update training programs and evaluate their effectiveness
- Research and implement new methods for delivering technical training
- Develop and implement market plans to expand into new industries, applications, and customer segments
- Develop product pricing and positioning strategies
- Support sales teams with technical and commercial information
- Collaborate on marketing communications including product promotions, technical literature, and other materials
- Represent the organization at trade shows and customer visits to support sales and develop new business
- Identify and communicate market and customer requirements to internal teams
- Develop product training programs and ensure strong product knowledge within the sales team and partners
- Provide recommendations to leadership to improve capabilities and address industry needs
- Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned

Physical & Travel Requirements
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to operate a vehicle for extended periods

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (samples, demos, or materials)
