Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to take ownership of the forging department, working directly with screw and coring presses in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for an engineer who likes being on the floor, solving problems, and seeing their designs turn into finished parts. You’ll blend daily production support with tooling and die design, while driving projects that directly impact throughput, quality, and reliability.
As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
- Design and develop forge dies and die layouts using CAM software.
- Define slug requirements and manage bills of material and routings for 200+ active part numbers.
- Partner closely with the tool room by generating CAM programs and G-code for high-speed mills and wire EDMs.
- Be the go-to engineer on the floor providing hands-on support and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Lead and support continuous improvement and process-focused engineering projects.
The ideal Manufacturing Engineer will bring:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- 2+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 1+ years of forging experience strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of CAM software (Edgecam a plus).
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a practical, problem-solving mindset.
- Exposure to automation and controls a plus.
