We are seeking an experienced Advanced Manufacturing Plant Managers to lead operations at advanced metals recovery facilities.

These plants combine industrial manufacturing, advanced automation, and AI-driven sorting technology to produce high-purity recycled aluminum alloys.  The Plant Manager will lead the safety, operational performance, production output, and continuous improvement efforts for the site while helping scale a rapidly growing industrial technology company.  This is not a traditional aluminum smelter or foundry. The process is closer to advanced materials sorting and upcycling.  They are essentially building next-generation metal recycling plants.  Their recycled aluminum feeds into automotive manufacturing, construction materials, aerospace, rolling mills, and die casters

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of plant operations, production, and workforce management
  • Build and develop a high-performing operations and maintenance team
  • Drive a strong culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence
  • Ensure production targets are met across safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Optimize plant throughput and equipment utilization
  • Monitor key operational metrics and implement improvement initiatives
  • Oversee operations of AI-enabled sorting systems, sensors, and automated processing equipment
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve system performance and reliability
  • Support continuous improvement and process optimization
  • Implement best practices in:
    • Lean Manufacturing
    • Reliability and preventive maintenance
    • Process improvement
    • Operational efficiency
  • Manage plant budgets and operating costs
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and environmental standards
  • Collaborate with corporate leadership on plant growth initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of previous experience as a Plant Manager or Senior Operations Leader
  • Ideal candidates will bring experience leading operations in environments such as metals processing, recycling operations, automotive manufacturing, heavy industrial manufacturing or materials processing
  • Leadership in automated or technology-driven manufacturing environments is a plus
  • Experience in scaling operations or improving plant performance is highly valued
  • Skilled in implementing Lean Manufacturing principles
  • History of optimizing operations, delivering cost improvements, and implementing technology
  • Strong safety and continuous improvement mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop plant teams
  • Experience in industrial automation environments
