Position Overview:
A leading acute care hospital in Las Vegas is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join its anesthesia team. This role supports a wide range of surgical services in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, working collaboratively with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative staff to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC) in accordance with established protocols
- Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments, including patient history and risk evaluation
- Continuously monitor patients during procedures and respond to changes in condition
- Communicate effectively with anesthesiologists and surgical teams throughout procedures
- Conduct post-anesthesia evaluations and ensure safe patient recovery
- Accurately document anesthesia plans, intraoperative events, and post-operative outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital safety standards
Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program, including completion of a CRNA program
- Active Nevada license as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Certification by the National Board of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
- Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
Additional Requirements:
- Post-Master’s certification from a COA-accredited Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program
- Pediatric anesthesia experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced hospital setting
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
