Job Description:
Successful candidate will have a strong Analog & Digital Electrical Engineering background and experience to support critical component shortages and other design activities for the company's tactical radio products and accessories. The individual will work closely with both the design engineering community and all operational resources to enable continuous manufacturing. Additional program support is also required to enable new business opportunities.
 
Essential Functions:
Responsible for architecting, designing, developing, modifying, evaluating and integrating electronic equipment, electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry for complex, high performance digital hardware systems.
Ability to prioritize tasks and issues based on technical challenge and revenue impact.
Diverse product development knowledge from component selection through change orders and factory implementation.
Analyzes electrical requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
Hands-on experience with test equipment's including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators etc. to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluate results.
Includes the application of specialized skill sets including digital, analog, FPGA, DSP, CCA, power, antenna, and control systems knowledge as required.  Provide timely and thorough response to issues that impact continuous production and generation of revenue in the JROC focus factories with staffing and problem-solving expertise.
 
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Experience designing state of the art Analog & Digital electronic circuits including schematic capture and layout knowledge.
Experience with Analog & Digital design, tuning, analysis, verification testing, power savings analysis, and optimization.
Experience utilizing signal processing algorithms in FPGAs and software.
Experience with part selection and interfacing with manufacturers.
 
Preferred Additional Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Digital Electrical Engineering.
Exposure to electronic circuit elements such as ASICs, PLLs, DACs, Amplifiers and Power Supplies desirable.
Able to test and support initial bring-up of prototype hardware.
