We are seeking a Senior Cost Accountant who will be responsible for applying strong cost accounting knowledge in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles to keep company
management informed with accurate product cost information used in decision making. Additional
responsibilities include routine Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger functions and analyses performed on a daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly basis.
The ideal candidate will be able to successfully perform a variety of accounting functions while specializing in cost accounting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for maintaining accurate Cost Accounting for products, inventory valuation and
cost analyses. Setting standard costs for manufactured products.
• Monthly analysis of manufacturing costs, variances, and absorption.
• Daily processing of Accounts Payable invoices including GL account coding, reviewing for
cost savings, and filing electronically.
• Daily processing of Sales invoices (electronic).
• Daily processing of AR cash collections/applications.
• Monthly GL account reconciliations for accruals, prepaids, bank accounts, etc.
• Assist in the monthly closing function including journal entry preparation.
• Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process.
• Assist in preparing data for year-end financial audit.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
