Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders; assess home environment and identify equipment needs.
 
  • Develop and implement individualized, physician-approved plans of care with measurable therapy goals.
 
  • Provide dysphagia therapy and recommend appropriate diet modifications in coordination with the care team.
 
  • Recommend and train patients and caregivers on AAC devices and home exercise programs.
 
  • Monitor progress, adjust the care plan as needed, and submit accurate clinical documentation per JCAHO standards.
 
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, PT, OT, and other team members through care conferences and interdisciplinary planning.

  • Master's degree from an ASHA-approved Speech-Language Pathology program, including the required clinical internship, or as mandated by applicable law and/or regulation
  • Fulfills all education and experience requirements for the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), granted by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

Required Certifications & Licensures

  • Active certification to practice Speech-Language Pathology with a minimum of one year of hands-on clinical experience
  • Current CPR certification, maintained continuously throughout employment in a clinical role
  • Valid driver's license and properly insured personal vehicle
