A premier healthcare facility is seeking a dedicated Physician of Adult Medicine to join our clinical team. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services, including the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions in adult patients
  • Manage a robust patient volume of 24–28 patients daily in a fast-paced, clinical environment
  • Participate in a one-week on-call rotation shared among a collaborative team of providers
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, emphasizing preventative health and wellness education
  • Prescribe medications and treatments; order and interpret diagnostic tests, including labs and imaging
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential electronic medical records (EMR) in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of specialists, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care coordination
  • Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and peer review processes to maintain clinical excellence
  • Stay current with medical advancements and best practices through continuing medical education (CME)

Qualifications

  • Education & Licensure: Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution, coupled with an active, unrestricted New York State medical license.
  • Postgraduate Training: Completion of at least 1 year of postgraduate residency training within an approved program. (Candidates from unaccredited or unregistered medical schools must have completed 3 years of approved residency training and achieved a passing score on a recognized proficiency examination).
  • Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible (actively on track to complete certification) in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • Clinical Soft Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to consistently deliver friendly, kind, and deeply respectful patient care.
  • Operational Strengths: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical & Digital Proficiency: Strong everyday computer skills, including functional competency with data entry, spreadsheet management, email systems, and digital office documentation. Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Adobe, and standard office hardware (scanners, printers, faxes).
  • EMR Literacy: Proven capability to efficiently navigate and maintain meticulous clinical charting within an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system.
  • Medical Equipment Competency: Fully proficient in the standard use of primary diagnostic and clinical tools, including but not limited to thermometers, blood pressure cuffs, syringes, AED machines, pulse oximeters, glucometers, and EKG machines.
