Director of Supply Chain
Our client is a reputable family-owned, linen and uniform service, and workplace safety solutions provider with locations across the Midwest. This role supports an eight-location enterprise and will partner closely with executive leadership to build a scalable, data-driven supply chain function.
Job Summary:
The Director of Supply Chain will build and lead a scalable, world-class supply chain designed to support significant growth while improving service, reducing cost, optimizing working capital, and strengthening enterprise discipline. This leader will drive transformation across sourcing, purchasing, inventory, logistics, supplier management, demand planning, and supply chain systems, while developing an existing team and serving as a strategic partner and constructive challenger to Sales, Operations, and Finance.
Location: HQ in Indiana, with other locations in Michigan and Kentucky. Remote/hybrid is available. Candidates living in one of these 3 states are highly preferred: IN, MI, KY
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a multi-year supply chain strategy and transformation roadmap to support enterprise growth and scalability
- Lead sourcing, purchasing, inventory, logistics, supplier management, and demand planning
- Manage and optimize approximately $30M in annual enterprise spend
- Lead supplier negotiations, vendor performance management, and risk mitigation
- Deliver sustainable, validated annualized cost savings/productivity improvement without negatively impacting service or quality
- Improve inventory performance (turns, service levels, excess/obsolete reduction) and working capital
- Lead SKU rationalization and product/specification standardization initiatives
- Build an integration playbook for future acquisitions and new locations
- Establish enterprise supply chain KPIs and provide regular strategic updates to executive leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop the existing supply chain team; clarify roles, ownership, KPIs, and accountability
- Partner with Finance, Operations, and Sales to support growth, standardization, and decision-making
- Support ERP/systems improvements and strengthen data, dashboards, and master data discipline
Requirements:
- Experience in one of these industries is required: textile rental, first aid & safety, facility services, or other route-based B2B
- 5+ years progressive supply chain leadership experience, preferably in a multi-site organization
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience managing $20M+ in annual spend
- Strong strategic sourcing and supplier negotiation experience with measurable cost savings results
- Strong inventory, replenishment, and working capital management experience
- Experience supporting an ERP implementation/upgrade or major systems transformation
- Ability to either work in the office in Warsaw, IN or work remotely and travel regularly
- Candidates living in IN, MI, or KY are highly preferred
