Job Description
- Serve as a trusted advisor to condominium and homeowner association boards on Florida statutes, compliance, and risk management
- Provide guidance on governance, meetings, elections, enforcement, and board decision-making
- Draft, review, and amend governing documents (declarations, covenants, bylaws, rules, policies, and amendments)
- Review and negotiate vendor and management contracts and other association-related agreements
- Lead dispute resolution strategy and execution, including pre-suit negotiations, mediation, and arbitration
- Partner with boards, managers, and stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently and protect the community
- Manage multiple matters with strong judgment, responsiveness, and attention to detail
Qualifications
- Active Florida Bar membership in good standing
- Minimum of 5 years of legal practice experience (community association and or real estate preferred)
- Strong command of drafting and interpreting governing documents and contracts
- Experience advising boards or sophisticated clients with clear, practical communication
- Comfort handling enforcement issues and guiding dispute resolution (mediation/arbitration experience a plus)
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage deadlines in a fast-moving environment
