NATIONAL COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE TITLE OPERATIONS

Our client, a national leader in commercial title and escrow services, is seeking an Associate Underwriter to support and manage complex, high-liability commercial real estate transactions. This role focuses on coordinating, underwriting, and clearing title for single-site and multi-site transactions across multiple jurisdictions.

The position offers significant responsibility, national deal exposure, and direct interaction with lenders, attorneys, developers, and internal underwriting teams in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

 


 

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred.
  • 1–4 years of substantive experience in title underwriting experience, commercial experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial real estate law, including federal and Florida state title insurance regulations.
  • Proven ability to interpret and apply title insurance underwriting standards and guidelines within delegated authority limits
  • Solid understanding of commercial real estate transactions, title insurance and commercial real estate closing settlement processes, and applicable federal and state regulations
  • Teachable attitude, positive demeanor, adaptability, and ability to thrive and maintain focus under pressure.
  • Demonstrable ability to multitask, manage multiple high-liability, single-site and multi-site national commercial real estate transactions.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple transactions and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to produce accurate, error-free work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the professionalism to interact with elite legal, financial, and real estate professionals nationwide.
  • Client-focused, results-driven, and collaborative team player.
  • Strong understanding of title insurance principles, escrow/settlement procedures, and title fulfillment processes.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Provide underwriting support, guidance, and authorization related to title insurance commitments and policies
  • Analyze and evaluate risk in commercial real estate transactions within delegated authority limits
  • Apply underwriting standards and guidelines to determine insurability and resolve title issues
  • Advise internal teams and clients on title matters and settlement processes
  • Assist in developing and implementing underwriting guidelines and best practices
  • Collaborate with attorneys, lenders, and internal stakeholders to facilitate smooth transaction execution

Compensation & Benefits

  • $32.31-$43.05 per hour, depending on experience. Pay can be adjusted based on experience in title and real estate industry, as well as skills, business experience, and other job-related needs.   Overall compensation is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location. Bonus also available.
