Compensation: Base Salary $85,000-$120,000 + Bonus + PAID Relocation

 

We are seeking an Electrical Project Control Engineer to support capital and process improvement projects at our client's South Columbus, OH manufacturing facility. In this role, you will lead the planning, design, and execution of electrical and control system projects that support plant operations and long-term infrastructure improvements.

 

You will collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, maintenance, safety, and external contractors to deliver projects that enhance safety, reliability, and productivity across the facility.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related engineering discipline
  • 5+ years of experience working with industrial controls, PLC, or DCS systems
  • Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC programming and industrial process instrumentation, or a strong willingness to develop these skills
  • Familiarity with SCADA/HMI platforms such as GE Proficy iFIX is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of electrical and control system projects, including both new installations and upgrades to existing manufacturing processes.
  • Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within approved financial parameters.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to execute engineering and construction activities.
  • Manage the full project lifecycle, including scope development, bid evaluation, capital authorization requests, construction oversight, and system startup.
  • Track project progress and spending from concept through commissioning, communicating updates and adjusting plans as needed.
  • Support plant automation, control systems, and power distribution infrastructure, including PLC and process instrumentation implementations.
  • Assist operations and maintenance teams with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to plant systems.
  • Ensure projects meet safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including relevant OSHA and process safety standards.
  • Contribute to the development of operating procedures and training materials related to new systems and process improvements.
