We are recruiting for an energetic and motivated individual to join our client as a Corporate Controller. The Controller will report to the CFO and will play an integral role within the management team. Candidates must possess strong organizational, analytical, and communications skills, in addition to demonstrating advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel and ERP systems.

This is an 100% in office position located in the Tempe/Chandler area with a base salary of $130,000 - $160,000 plus bonus.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Oversee all General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Financial Reporting activity for a multi-entity company.
  • Manage all aspects of month-end and year-end financial close processes and procedures.
  • Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements and financial KPI’s
  • Report on weekly/monthly company cash flow
  • Analyze costs and generate ad-hoc reports when needed to provide support and service to our internal and external customers.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of key accounting policies and procedures to maximize efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with business partners on large-scale projects to improve the flow of business, such as inventory control and expense management.
  • Coordinate annual budgeting process via cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Facilitate and support annual external audit process.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the accounting team to ensure that the financial, accounting, and reporting needs are met in order to support the management team in achieving the company’s goals and objectives.
  • Provide financial advice and assistance to the management team to ensure that decision- making is completed on a sound financial and operational basis.
  • Assist management team with short to long-term capital planning, including identifying and evaluating financial return on investment of all new capital expenditure proposals.
  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of strong financial control processes to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records, minimization of business risk, and proper stewardship of all company assets.

 

Required Education and Experience:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • CPA a big plus
  • Must have 7+ years of relevant accounting experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, dynamic work environment, preferably within manufacturing.
  • Must have prior General Ledger and Reporting experience, including full responsibility for month-end closings.
  • Must have experience with multi-site consolidations.
  • Must have strong ERP experience, with preference given to candidates with new ERP implementation experience.
  • Must have advanced experience with all standard Microsoft Office products including Power BI.
  • Must have 3+ years of leadership experience, to include training, managing, and coaching small onsite teams of 6 or more.
