The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving new business growth through targeted prospecting, consultative selling, and closing new contracted customers, primarily in the healthcare sector. This role also supports growth within existing accounts by identifying opportunities for additional services, locations, and SKUs. The ideal candidate is goal-driven, organized, and comfortable engaging decision-makers while consistently executing sales activity expectations and quarterly revenue targets.

The territory: Connecticut (Multiple Exclusive Territories)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and develop new business within an assigned exclusive Connecticut territory using a consultative sales approach
  • Engage decision-makers across customer organizations (including C-suite, supply chain, department heads, practice managers, etc.) to understand needs and present tailored solutions
  • Close new contracted customers and drive market share growth, with a primary focus on healthcare accounts
  • Identify and pursue expansion opportunities within existing accounts, including additional product lines, services, and new sites
  • Deliver in-person and virtual sales presentations with strong product and service knowledge
  • Track pipeline, activities, and customer interactions accurately and consistently in CRM (Salesforce)
  • Maintain marketplace visibility through networking, professional events, and customer-facing activities
  • Partner with leadership, operations, and support teams to support onboarding, implementation, and customer satisfaction
  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue goals and required sales activity metrics

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of quota-driven outside sales experience
  • Consistent record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and driving measurable growth
  • Experience delivering client-focused, consultative solutions in a competitive, contract-based environment
  • Strong listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Trustworthy, professional, and able to contribute constructively as part of a team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience using Salesforce CRM is helpful but not required
  • Clean driver’s license
