Service Manager - Linen and Uniform Service
Our client in the linen and uniform service industry is currently seeking a Service Manager or Director of Service to support their expanding Tampa, FL market.
Position Summary:
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the satisfaction of the company's existing customers and to minimize lost business. We are looking for a strong leader who has an excellent track record of coaching and developing a winning team. The success of your team rests on you and your ability to lead and implement customer-focused initiatives. Your hands-on approach will include regular route rides with your team members while collaborating with your team members to continuously improve route effectiveness and efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Regularly visit larger customers and build rapport and a relationship, as well as address customer issues/complaints.
- Renew customer Service Agreements that are nearing expiration.
- Manage and oversee Route Service Reps and route jumpers
- Suggest add-on products to current customers to add new lines of business and grow accounts.
- Hold Route Reps accountable to sales goals (weekly add on sales and contract renewals)
- Monitor and collect past due receivables from customers as needed
- Be responsible for containing costs related to delivery by regularly optimizing routes and making them more efficient
- Reduce company's merchandise costs by utilizing merchandise tracking and ensuring route team properly manages inventory at/with customers
- Be prepared to enforce service agreements in the event a customer attempts to breach contract
- Coordinate installation of new accounts with production, sales, and other departments
- Recruit, hire, train, and manage the performance of all personnel in the service department
- Interact daily with peer department heads, supervisor, and upper management/owner
Requirements:
- 3+ years of route management and/or service management experience in the textile, linen, uniform service industry is required
- Strong account management skills with demonstrated success in managing customer retention programs.
- Associates degree preferred. High school diploma required.
- Must possess a sense of urgency with ability to troubleshoot and solve problems swiftly and proactively.
- Must have a clean driving record and valid license.
