Our client is a supplier of used and rebuilt industrial/manufacturing equipment, with a large warehouse and production facility in Earth City, MO. They are seeking a Parts Department Manager to to oversee all aspects of parts inventory, procurement, and distribution in support of retail, repair and rebuild operations.
Job Summary:
The Parts Manager will take ownership of all parts and inventory-related functions. This position plays a key role in maintaining efficiency by ensuring critical parts and supplies are available when needed. The ideal candidate will bring a background in parts management (preferably within an industrial or mechanical environment) and a hands-on, organized approach to inventory control, vendor management, and internal coordination.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory of all parts and consumables for retail sale or used in repair and rebuild operations.
- Source, order, and manage timely delivery of parts from approved suppliers.
- Build and manage vendor relationships, negotiating pricing and delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to anticipate parts needs.
- Maintain labeling, storage, and security protocols for all parts and materials.
- Utilize and update computerized inventory management systems.
- Monitor inventory usage and recommend reorder points to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
- Assist technicians in identifying correct parts needed for service.
- Organize product returns, warranty claims, and replacement requests.
- Prepare order confirmations for invoicing and coordinate with internal departments.
- Ensure compliance with safety and procurement policies.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in parts management (industrial, manufacturing, HVAC, or mechanical industries ideal).
- Strong skills in parts inventory software and MS Office.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment and related parts.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy parts as needed.
- Forklift certification is a plus.
