Job Title: Fabricator – Machine Operator

Location: Harlan, Iowa

Salary: $22-28/hour 

Job Summary of the Fabricator – Machine Operator: The Fabricator Machine Operator will set up, adjust, and operate fabrication equipment to produce metal components according to blueprints, specifications, and work orders. This role is responsible for maintaining safe operations, quality standards, and accurate production records. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Fabricator – Machine Operator:

• Operate fabrication equipment, including press brakes, rollers, punch presses, sanders, drills, grinders, shears, saws, and other fabrication machinery.
• Utilize measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, rules, squares, angle gages, and height gages.
• Practice the highest degree of safety when performing essential duties of his position.
• Read and interpret parts drawings, process routings, and production requirement information. 

Education & Experience Requirements of the Fabricator – Machine Operator:

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 1-2 years of experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills including dimensions, quantities, metric conversions, algebra, and geometry.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, diligence, and time management skills.
• Welding experience is a plus, but not required.
