Our client, a leader in commercial laundry and textile services, is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee daily plant operations, production, and distribution while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
This is a high-impact leadership role with a clear path for career advancement to General Manager for the right candidate.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing plant safety, operation, costs and budgeting.
- Spend a considerable amount of time on the production floor, observing plant operations and developing department supervisors.
- Oversee daily operations of production, driving productivity, ensuring policies and procedures are followed, and meeting all production requirements.
- Achieve budget and goals to ensure profitable operations.
- Manage and supervise department managers (production supervisors).
- Ensure high efficiency, accuracy and quality in all plant departments by monitoring individual employees performance.
- Complete all necessary reporting for production results.
- Analyze and recommend plans for improvement - assess and recommend equipment improvements, methods and process improvements.
- Interview, select, hire, develop, train and hold accountable all direct reports in conjunction with HR.
- Ensure compliance to internal safety protocols and OSHA rules and regulations. Introduce programs directed at creating safety awareness amongst all employees and move us closer to achieving zero reportable accidents.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of high volume commercial laundry plant management experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train and manage a team's performance
- Demonstrated knowledge of plant operation methods, equipment, techniques, engineering and maintenance
- Ability to manage, support, and motivate other people.
- Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus but not required.
