Location

On-site position based in Knoxville, Tennessee, working closely with in-house multidisciplinary design teams. Relocation support is available.

This role requires an active Mechanical Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Job Description

  • Design mechanical systems for commercial and industrial facilities
  • Develop HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical infrastructure solutions tailored to client operations
  • Prepare calculations, layouts, and construction documentation
  • Coordinate with electrical, structural, and architectural engineering teams
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and best practices
  • Review drawings and specifications for accuracy and constructability
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff as needed
  • Support projects from concept through construction documentation

Qualifications

  • Active Mechanical Engineering PE license
  • 4+ years of professional mechanical engineering experience
  • Experience designing HVAC and mechanical systems for facilities
  • Strong understanding of applicable mechanical codes and standards
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Experience with engineering design software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar)
