Social Media Manager

Location: Washington County, PA - IN OFFICE ROLE, NOT HYBRID OR REMOTE

Are you the person who spots a social trend before everyone else? Do you find yourself mentally rewriting captions, saving great content ideas, or wondering why a brand isn’t doing more with TikTok, Instagram or LinkedIn?

Our client is looking for a Social Media Manager who is equal parts strategist, storyteller, content creator and trend watcher. This is a highly visible opportunity to take ownership of an established social presence and make it even more engaging, creative and memorable.

This role is perfect for someone who loves the fast-moving world of social media and wants the freedom to bring fresh ideas to the table. You’ll help shape the voice, personality and social presence of the organization while creating content that gets people to stop scrolling, pay attention and engage.

And while strategy is important, this isn’t a role where you’ll spend all day staring at spreadsheets. You’ll collaborate on creative concepts, coordinate content shoots, work with influencers and partners, experiment with emerging platforms and help tell stories in new and interesting ways.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own the social strategy. Develop and lead an organic social media strategy designed to grow awareness, engagement and audience across multiple platforms.

  • Bring the brand to life. Help define and maintain a recognizable, authentic and engaging voice across every social channel.

  • Think differently for every platform. Create smart, platform-specific approaches for LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and whatever platform everyone is talking about next.

  • Create content people actually want to see. Lead the planning and development of social-first campaigns, timely content, creative storytelling and engaging posts that stand out in crowded feeds.

  • Build a community — not just a follower count. Develop strategies that encourage conversation, engagement, sharing and long-term audience growth.

  • Stay ahead of what’s next. Keep a pulse on trends, platform changes, emerging technologies, new content formats and evolving audience behaviors — and turn those insights into ideas.

  • Make influencers part of the story. Identify and build relationships with creators and brand advocates, negotiate partnerships and develop influencer campaigns that feel authentic and deliver results.

  • Collaborate with creative partners. Work with outside agencies, vendors and internal teams to brainstorm concepts, coordinate content production and bring ideas from the whiteboard to the social feed.

  • Get involved in content shoots. Help plan and coordinate on-site shoots and identify great opportunities for behind-the-scenes content, storytelling and social-first moments.

  • Run the content calendar. Keep social activity organized, timely and coordinated while making room for those spontaneous opportunities that social media does best.

  • Know what’s working. Track performance, analyze engagement and audience data, identify trends and turn the numbers into recommendations for even better content.

  • Protect the conversation. Monitor social channels and help manage communications when a situation requires a thoughtful or timely response.

  • Help develop the team. Provide leadership, coaching and mentorship to a Social Media Coordinator while creating an environment where new ideas are encouraged.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who understands that great social media is part strategy, part creativity, part instinct — and occasionally knowing when to throw the content calendar out the window because something better just happened.

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field.

  • 5+ years of professional social media experience, ideally managing multiple channels for an established organization or agency.

  • Strong knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube and emerging social platforms.

  • Experience with social media management, publishing and analytics tools such as Sprout Social or similar platforms.

  • A strong understanding of social analytics, algorithms, audience development and performance optimization.

  • Experience working with influencers, creators or strategic social partnerships.

  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to adjust tone and messaging depending on the platform and audience.

  • A creative mindset paired with the organization needed to manage multiple projects, deadlines and priorities.

  • Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger creative picture.

  • The confidence to bring new ideas to the table — and the curiosity to keep experimenting.

Why This Role?

Because social media should be fun.

This is an opportunity to take the lead on a highly visible social presence where your ideas can make an impact. You’ll have the chance to experiment, create, collaborate and help determine what comes next — rather than simply being handed a calendar and told what to post.

If you love storytelling, understand what makes people stop scrolling, and are always thinking about the next great piece of content, this could be a fantastic next step in your career.
